SECTION 8 TENANCY REQUIREMENTS

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED if you are applying with a Housing Choice Voucher (RTA)

Please Note: You must tour the property before submitting your signed RTA.


To apply for a property using your Housing Choice Voucher:


Security Deposit is $500 minimum.


Submission Rules:

  1. Signed RTA: Your RTA must be signed before submitting.
  2. PDF Format Only: We only accept RTA documents in PDF format. No texts.
  3. Property Address: Clearly specify the property address you are applying for.
  4. Photo ID: Required when you complete the application plus we verify utility payment history – no credit checks.
  5. Evictions: No evictions within the past 10 years.
  6. Felony Convictions: No violent felony convictions within the past 10 years.

Property and Lease Terms:


After You Submit Your RTA:

  1. Review Call: A team member will call you to review your documents. Once complete, we will submit our portion of the RTA, including the requested rent, to the Housing Authority. If you do not hear from us, please feel free to call us.
  2. Processing Time: The Housing Authority may take time to process applications. We recommend staying in touch with your caseworker for updates.
  3. Inspection: Once scheduled, we will meet the Housing Authority Inspector. If needed, we will make any corrections and request a re-inspection promptly.
  4. Approval & Move-In: After passing inspection, we will receive the approved RTA with rent details and a lease start date. You will review and sign a condition report, which will also serve as your move-out reference.
